StockGro's FY26 profit triples to Rs 113 crore ahead of IPO
StockGro's parent AssetGro Fintech reported FY26 net profit of Rs 113 crore on Rs 226 crore revenue, as it prepares an IPO of up to Rs 2,500 crore.
AssetGro Fintech, the parent of the investing app StockGro, reported a FY26 net profit of Rs 113 crore, up 226.6% from Rs 34.6 crore the year before, while operating revenue doubled to Rs 226.1 crore. Inc42 reported the figures on 31 October 2026. The company is also preparing an IPO of roughly Rs 2,000 to 2,500 crore, so these numbers will be read closely.
What the numbers say
According to Inc42, operating revenue rose from Rs 113.3 crore to Rs 226.1 crore, and almost all of it, 99.9%, is subscription fees. Total income was Rs 230.9 crore, including Rs 4.8 crore of other income. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) was about Rs 118.7 crore, up roughly 99% from Rs 59.5 crore. Expenses rose 47.3% to Rs 132 crore. Employee costs were the biggest item at Rs 65.8 crore, up 96.3%, followed by media and advertising at Rs 23.2 crore and technology charges at Rs 17.9 crore.
A detail matters here. Profit before tax was Rs 99 crore, and a net tax credit of Rs 14 crore lifted profit after tax to Rs 113 crore. So about Rs 14 crore of the headline profit comes from tax, not from operations. These are the company's own figures from its financials and we could not check them against a filing.
Costs help to show where the money went. Expenses were Rs 132 crore, and three items account for most of them.
The IPO and the money raised
Kotak Neo reports that AssetGro is preparing an IPO of about Rs 2,000 to 2,500 crore, with roughly Rs 800 crore as a fresh issue and the rest as an offer for sale (OFS) by existing shareholders, using the confidential route. In that route, draft papers are filed with SEBI but kept out of public view until the IPO is closer. Emirates NBD Capital is the lead manager, per Kotak Neo. Inc42 adds that the company raised Rs 110 crore in an ongoing Series B round from existing and new backers, including BITKRAFT Ventures and actor Suniel Shetty. It notes slightly different timing for when the papers were filed, so we do not give a firm date.
How the business earns
StockGro, founded in 2020 and based in Bengaluru, offers stock analysis, strategy building and portfolio tracking, plus trade ideas from SEBI-registered research analysts, says Kotak Neo. Because nearly all revenue is subscriptions, the business earns when users pay for tools and ideas, not when they trade. That is a different model from a broker that charges per order, and it means revenue depends on keeping paying subscribers.
What it means for readers
For founders, the case shows that a fintech can double revenue and still keep costs growing more slowly than sales, with spending on people and marketing taking the larger share. For readers watching IPOs, the file will be worth reading for subscriber numbers, churn, the share of profit that came from tax, and how much of the Rs 800 crore fresh issue funds growth. For users, a subscription product that depends on research ideas sits under SEBI's rules for research analysts, so claims should be checked against the analyst's registration. Nothing here is a view on any share.
Use the calculator to see how a fresh issue dilutes existing holders. The valuation below is an example; neither outlet reports one.
What to watch next
Watch for the public draft prospectus, which will show audited accounts and risk factors, and for SEBI's observations on the filing. The final size of the IPO is not decided and the reports differ on it.
